The 2025 Ford Super Duty series enters its third year of the fifth generation with a refreshed trim lineup, enhanced interior options, and expanded standard features across the F-250, F-350, and F-450 models. You have multiple configurations across these three-quarter-ton, one-ton, and medium-duty models, which makes the Super Duty series a much more compelling option compared to some of Ford's rivals, such as the Ram, Chevy Silverado, and GMC Sierra heavy-duty lineups.

The 2025 Super Duty series is available in multiple trims. Buyers can now choose between the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims for the F-250, F-350, and F-450, streamlining the options across the whole series, making it easy to build the right Super Duty truck to meet particular needs. This cuts down on confusion and makes it effortless to configure a heavy-duty truck for work or personal life. Ford also introduced several other updates, including new exterior color options in the form of Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

The Platinum trim receives a bold update this year, featuring a refreshed interior in a new Black Onyx color scheme accented by Platinum Blue touches. It also gets a body-color tailgate applique, painted black grille, and new body-color door handles for a sleeker look. The available Platinum Plus Package adds a satin-finish grille accent, upgraded materials, and a 2-kW Pro Power Onboard generator. Additionally, the Lariat now comes standard with ActiveX seating material, and the Platinum Plus Ownership now includes an instant update to Blue Tier status with the FordPass Rewards Program, so you have access to more features and customer support, including a 20% discount on Ford accessories within the first 90 days of joining the program.

Power and Strength for Heavy-Duty Work

Ford offers four distinct engine options across the 2025 Super Duty series, giving drivers the flexibility to tailor power and capability for their exact needs. The F-450 has access to two different powertrains. The first is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 that makes 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque; the alternative is the 6.7-liter Power Stroke High Output turbo-diesel that makes 500 hp and up to 1,200 lb-ft of torque. This "High Output" setup makes the F-450 a highly formidable medium-duty truck for the largest of tasks.

The F-250 and F-350 offer the same two diesel engines as the F-450, as well as two gas-powered options: a 6.8-liter V8 that makes 405 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque and the well-regarded 7.3-liter V8 that produces 430 hp and 485 lb-ft of torque. All engines are paired with a robust TorqShift-G 10-speed automatic transmission. This enables you to access multiple drive modes based on your needs, with its four modes being Normal, Eco, Slippery, and Tow/Haul.

The 2025 Ford Super Duty series can be configured in either rear-wheel drive (RWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD). The F-350 and F-450 are also available in dual-rear-wheel configurations if you need the extra towing and trailering capacity that comes with having extra tires on the back axle. (The F-250 is only available with two wheels for the back axle.) You can also have the Super Duty series in Regular Cab, SuperCab, and Crew Cab configurations. All three Super Duty models can be had with a Regular Cab or Crew Cab, but the SuperCab is only available for the F-250 and F-350.

This range of configurations lets buyers customize their truck for everything from daily work duties to heavy-duty hauling and towing. If you need a truck purely for work, the Regular Cab is the perfect solution. However, if you need your Super Duty for work and family life, the SuperCab and Crew Cab are preferable, as they provide space for up to six passengers across two rows while still giving you the powerful performance that Ford's Super Duty series is known for.

Built Ford Tough: Incredible Capabilities

Thanks to multiple cab styles and powertrain options, the 2025 Super Duty series is built to tow serious loads and handle heavy-duty applications without compromise. But not only that, these are trucks that can carry huge weights in their beds thanks to their massive capacities. In the case of the 2025 Super Duty series, there are two different bed sizes available: a 6.8-ft "standard" bed that offers up to 65.4 cu.ft. of cargo capacity and an 8.2-ft "long" bed that provides up to 78.5 cu.ft. of cargo capacity.

When properly configured, the F-250 is ideal for both personal and commercial hauling. You can use the bed to carry up to 4,246 lbs of payload. You also have great towing capabilities, with the F-250 enabling you to tow or trailer up to 23,000 lbs. This makes it so you can very easily use the F-250 for recreational trucking as well as for handling daunting tasks.

Step up to the F-350 and you get best-in-class potential, since the F-350 provides you with the best payload ratings. You can haul up to several tons in its cargo box, topping out at up to 8,000 lbs of payload. The F-350 can also tow up to 38,000 lbs when properly equipped. The F-450, however, manages a max payload capacity of 6,482 lbs and a max trailering capacity of up to 40,000 lbs for formidable fifth wheel or gooseneck trailering tasks that only a medium-duty truck can handle.

Each model in the Super Duty series is engineered to deliver outstanding worksite functionality and recreational versatility, especially when considering the available towing and cargo technologies. For instance, with upfitting switches and trailering tools like PowerScope memory trailer mirrors, Trailer Sway Control, and Trailer Reverse Guidance, heavy towing becomes easier and safer. You also get convenience features like Pro Trailer Backup Assist, a power tailgate with retractable steps, and wired compatibility for auxiliary cameras, all of which make it easier and more streamlined to hitch and manage your cargo and trailers.

Convenience for Every Type of Truck Driver

While the Ford Super Duty series is renowned for its power and durability, it also delivers impressive comfort, connectivity, and convenience. It is designed to provide you with the tech, safety, and accessibility to make it excellent as a family vehicle. Given that all three models of the series are available in the same trim lineup, it is highly convenient for you to determine your next work truck. These models will give you a strong sense of comfort whether you're undertaking short or long drives.

Inside, available heated and ventilated 8-way power front seats with lumbar support provide personalized comfort. Premium trims offer leather seating in a Black Onyx and Platinum Blue color scheme for added luxury. Drivers benefit from a leather-wrapped power-tilt steering wheel and dual-zone climate control. The easy-entry driver's seat with memory settings also makes it convenient to configure the cabin exactly the way you like without having to readjust your seat every time you enter.

There are added conveniences, such as the available color-coordinated carpet with floor mats. Accessibility features via FordPass Connect provide remote start and power locks, making the Super Duty series convenient for getting in and getting going quickly. You can manage your telemetry with the 12-inch driver display, or keep track of important travel data via the available head-up display.

Additionally, the 8-inch or 12-inch touchscreen allows you to access your favorite apps, vehicle health, Bluetooth streaming, or SiriusXM Satellite Radio, on top of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Upper-end trims also come with the Bang & Olufsen 14-speaker sound system and a wireless smartphone charging pad, which is convenient for drivers and passengers who want cordless travel accommodations.

On the safety side, the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite is at your beck and call, with awareness and response aids like BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage. You even have access to front parking sensors, Trailer Sway Control, and Hill Start Assist, which is super useful if you do a lot of towing on hilly roads or uneven terrain. Features like lane-keeping alerts and automatic lane centering also help for staying steady during long drives. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and the 360-degree camera can help you keep your passengers and cargo safe on the road.
