The 2025 Ford Expedition Tremor Will Rock Your World
Drivers who love the power and spaciousness of a full-size SUV but also want something that is built for adventure are going to love the brand-new Tremor trim for the 2025 Ford Expedition. This trim is an adaptation of a popular trim that was originally offered on the Ranger midsize pickup before becoming available on the Ford’s F-Series pickup trucks. Today, you can get an all-new Expedition with extraordinary capabilities that can only be found on a Tremor trim.
The 2025 Ford Expedition is in the fifth generation of this full-size SUV, which first hit the road in 1997. It has refreshed looks and many new features to shake up the auto world, but the biggest change is the introduction of the Tremor trim—the first time Ford is offering this outfit on an SUV. When you choose an Expedition Tremor, you are going to be able to handle anything you encounter on or off the road. At Jim Ellis Ford, we are proud to offer drivers like you the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a 2025 Ford Expedition Tremor. You will get everything you want in a full-size SUV, as well as exceptional off-road capabilities.
An Exceptionally Powerful Engine
One of the ways Ford has made the Tremor trim stand out on the new 2025 Expedition is by equipping it with a very powerful engine. This 3.5-liter EcoBoost High-Output Turbo V6 gas engine comes paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. This is a high-output version of the standard engine on the Expedition, with twin turbochargers to boost performance to new heights. The engine has a dual overhead camshaft configuration with 24 valves for its six cylinders, producing up to 440 hp at 5,000 RPM and 510 lb-ft of torque at 2,250 RPM.
How powerful is this engine? It can propel the Expedition from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 5.1 seconds. This is the kind of acceleration you need when merging onto a busy highway at rush hour. It will also come in handy when you are taking on some of the toughest off-road trails you may encounter.
Shaking Things Up Off-Road
If you are serious about off-road adventures, then the Expedition Tremor is right for you. Ford has taken care of things from the ground up, making this the most capable full-size off-road SUV ever offered by the brand. As Expedition’s chief engineer Adrian Aguirre explains, “Tremor is the pinnacle of Expedition adventure-ready capability. Expedition Tremor delivers off-road capability and hardware shared with F-150 Tremor combined with Expedition big ‘family’ and ‘cargo-carrying’ versatility.”
It starts with a set of 18-inch dark carbonized aluminum wheels that come wrapped with 33-inch General Grabber all-terrain tires. These will give your Expedition the kind of grip and traction you will need to get over any paved or unpaved surface. Ford adds a set of Modified Raptor Skid Plates; these shield the front and transmission on the underbody of your Expedition Tremor, giving you peace of mind that whatever rocks, logs, and debris you traverse won’t damage your vehicle. There is also underbody protection for the fuel tank.
The Expedition Tremor has 10.6 inches of ground clearance—more than any other full-size SUV. This provides you with the ability to get over most obstacles in your path while also delivering better approach angles. This is due in part to the Tremor’s Modified Higher Ride Suspension with Premium Passive Shocks. Not only is the SUV lifted, but it is also properly cushioned to give you and your passengers a smoother ride with fewer jolts from ruts and holes you may hit on the trail.
Ford has equipped the Expedition Tremor with Intelligent 4WD with Terrain Management System. This lets you choose the best setting for the powertrain depending on the surface conditions you’re driving on. For example, you can choose Rock Crawl Mode if you need to get up a particularly steep incline while off-roading. The Expedition Tremor also features Traction Control and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control to improve traction whether you are driving on the road or trail.
The Tremor has other special features that will come in handy when off-roading. The e-locking rear differential will help you get out of a muddy spot; it locks the rear axle so the wheels can turn in unison, providing the traction needed if one wheel gets stuck. There are also front and rear stabilizer bars to keep the Expedition Tremor level when making tight turns. You also get Trail One Pedal Drive and Trail Turn Assist; this part of the Trail Control system allows you to control the vehicle with the accelerator alone, so you don’t have to constantly switch to the brake pedal. This provides for better control in off-road conditions, so you can focus on steering your Tremor through tight spots.
A Seismic Shift in Full-Size SUVs
While the 2025 Expedition Tremor is designed to shake things with its powerful engine and rugged design, its interior is sheer comfort. You can choose between seating seven and eight passengers, with either captain’s chairs or a 40/20/40 bench seat in the second row. Either way, you get elegant seats that are upholstered with perforated leather. The steering wheel on the Expedition Tremor is leather-wrapped as well, giving you added grip and comfort. The first and second rows are heated, which will come in handy on cold days. The front seats are also ventilated for improved comfort when out trail-running on a hot afternoon.
The Expedition has some of Ford’s latest technology, such as the Ford Digital Experience, a 24-inch panoramic panel across the dashboard. The instrument display will give you the critical information you need while driving your vehicle, and the 13.2-inch touchscreen hosts the SYNC 4 information system. You can connect your phones using wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, providing you with the ability to make hands-free calls and texts. The Expedition’s 10-speaker sound system is designed by Bang & Olufsen, one of the leading audio companies. It even has a subwoofer to capture the bass tones.
Keeping your phones charged and connected is easy in the Expedition Tremor. It has USB charging parts in each of the three rows. There is also a wireless charging pad in the front console, which is a nice feature to have since wireless connectivity can tend to drain the battery on your smartphone rather quickly. You also get FordPass Connect with a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, which will keep you and your passengers connected when you are out on your next adventure.
Ford completes the innovative Expedition Tremor with the brand’s BlueCruise tool. This autonomous driving system will allow you to operate your Expedition hands-free on specially mapped highways across America. Autonomous driving systems use sensors and active driver assistance features, improving safety while reducing driver fatigue. This tool is ideal if you plan to go on road trips in your Expedition Tremor.
The Expedition Tremor Ripples Across the Auto World
Ford has taken the Expedition to new heights with the Tremor, a new off-road version of its full-size SUV. This trim combines a powerful engine, exceptional off-road features, and a rugged design with an interior cabin that has the comfort and convenience features you and your passengers are sure to love. This combination of an aggressive exterior and an elegant interior will provide you with a full-size SUV unlike any other on the road today.
