A white 2025 Ford Maverick is shown off-roading.

First introduced just a few years ago, the Ford Maverick is an impressive compact truck that’s the perfect option if you’re looking for a daily driver with a lot to offer. Although it hasn’t been redesigned for 2025, the Ford Maverick for sale here at Jim Ellis Ford has plenty of exciting new features and options that you should know about.

The exterior has been revised and refreshed, looking better than ever, while you can find new styling and a larger standard display inside the Maverick. Perhaps most notable, however, is the bold new Lobo trim, offering street styling and performance features designed for closed courses. No matter what you’re looking for in your next compact truck, the 2025 Maverick is ready to deliver; let’s take a look at what we mean…

#1. The Stunning New Maverick Lobo

When it comes to what’s new for the 2025 Maverick, there’s no better place to start than the exciting new Lobo trim. This is a street-inspired pickup with bold performance and a variety of features designed to enhance your driving experience, particularly on closed courses. It comes with a 238-hp 2.0L EcoBoost turbocharged I-4 engine, a seven-speed Quick Shift transmission, and advanced four-wheel drive (4WD). You get performance-tuned springs and shocks, along with an upgraded engine cooler featuring a larger radiator and fan to help with performance.

Arguably the star of the show, however, is the exclusive Lobo Mode that you get with this truck, designed for use on closed courses. Activating this mode adjusts the Maverick’s throttle response, handling, and gear ratios for boosted control; it also features a twin-clutch rear drive unit with torque vectoring that activates in Lobo Mode. The result is improved cornering with reduced understeer, which is perfect for autocross and gymkhana events.

To go along with this, the Maverick Lobo has a black roof, an aggressive front grille, and 19-inch wheels with a lowered stance to ensure all eyes are on you every time you’re behind the wheel. While we’re big fans of every Maverick trim, the Lobo has a new place in our hearts.

#2. Much Bolder Exterior Aesthetics

Not to be outdone by the new Lobo trim, every 2025 Maverick has received a facelift with some stylish new looks. Up front, you’ll notice a redesigned front bumper and grille that both look fantastic; the bold grille gives it a powerful look without being overbearing like some of the grilles we see on new vehicles these days. The curved headlights look fantastic and add to a bold, energetic overall style that lets you know what this sporty truck is all about.

New wheel designs are available for 2025 to complement the revised front end, creating a more cohesive overall look to ensure you have a truck that gets attention. The essential shape and design of the Maverick remains much the same since this isn’t a full revamp, which means you get a truck that looks terrific and gives you a muscular, aggressive stance on the road.

A variety of exterior colors are available, offering you numerous ways to customize the look of your pickup. You might consider Eruption Green Metallic if you want something especially bold, while Velocity Blue Metallic looks absolutely electrifying; Ruby Red Metallic is another favorite of ours, and Oxford White is the perfect choice for a clean, classic look.

#3. A Revamped and Gorgeous Interior

Of course, the outside isn’t the only part of the 2025 Maverick to receive a facelift; you’ll find a beautifully refreshed cabin, too. This is important since most of your time with your truck will likely be spent with you inside it, though we’ll understand if you enjoy being outside of the Maverick to check out just how good it looks.

Inside, a number of new features and options can be enjoyed, including different upholstery and colors so you can customize the Maverick to be precisely the truck you want it to be. The new Smoked Truffle interior option looks absolutely gorgeous, with the perfect combination of cool gray and warm bronze tones that are immediately welcoming. The Lobo has a Black Onyx interior with vibrant green and blue stitching, creating a cabin that’s as bold and unique as everything else about this new trim.

Every model has two rows for five passengers, plus plenty of comfort features. One of the first things you’ll likely notice within the revamped cabin is the stunning 13.2-inch SYNC 4 infotainment display that now comes standard in every model. This replaces an eight-screen that was previously standard, ensuring that every Maverick is fun to drive while keeping you connected to the people in your life.

#4. Hybrid Performance Meets All-Wheel Drive

Although a powerful and impressive 238-hp 2.0L engine is standard for the Maverick, there’s also a 2.5L four-cylinder hybrid engine available that provides 191 hp. The biggest advantage of this hybrid engine is that it provides fantastic fuel efficiency, getting an estimated 42 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway; this has made hybrid versions of the Maverick very popular as daily drivers that are great for your commute and enjoying your time off.

Addressing disappointments of previous years, the 2025 Maverick now offers AWD with the available hybrid engine; this is a first for this truck and a much-requested option. Available for the XL, XLT, and Lariat, this is the perfect combination of bold efficiency and excellent traction to keep you in control and driving for a long time between stops for gas. We haven’t seen an estimate for fuel efficiency with AWD yet, though this is certainly an amazing option that’s going to make a lot of drivers very happy.

#5. Enhanced Driver Assistance Technology

Speaking of happy drivers, few things make folks more satisfied than having a vehicle that can help you get home safely at the end of each day. The Ford Maverick already has an impressive selection of standard and available safety features, but things are getting even better with the 2025 model. For starters, automatic LED high beams are now standard along with Autolamp auto on/off LED headlamps, making it easier to see at night without blinding other drivers.

The Lariat and Tremor trims come with an advanced Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control system that includes Lane-Centering. Plus, a new 360-degree camera system is now available (or standard on select trims like the Lariat) to give you an enhanced view around the Maverick when maneuvering at low speeds. All of this makes for an exceptionally safe truck.
